A pensioner was headbutted following an altercation in a Morrisons car park.
At 10.15am on Thursday, November 24, police were called to a report of an assault at Morrisons Car Park on Chester Road, in Ellesmere Port. Police said the incident occurred shortly before they arrived, at 10am.
The 75-year-old victim was headbutted by another man, believed to have been driving a silver BMW, while the pensioner was on his own, according to a family member. The family member has since appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Police confirmed that enquiries are ongoing into the matter.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 10:15am on Thursday, November 24, police were made aware of a report that a man had been assaulted following an altercation in Morrisons car park on Chester Road, Ellesmere Port.
"The incident happened at around 10am.
"Enquiries are ongoing and contact has been made with the victim to schedule an appointment."
