Morrisons has announced it will permanently cut the price of over half its café meals. It comes after the supermarket extended its free hot meal offer for November.
The price cuts, which are in all Morrisons cafes, means fish and chips are now priced at £6.99 and a full breakfast is now £5.99. These are permanent changes to the pricing of the menu.
The Heinz and Morrisons offer of a free hot meal to anyone who 'asks for Henry' was due to end on November 6 but has been extended until November 27. It means customers can get a hot jacket potato topped with Heinz beans for free with no questions asked.

Heinz said it hopes the extension will give further help to those who need it. The initiative was inspired by the work of Henry J. Heinz, founder of Heinz and known philanthropist.
From a young age Henry would make food with his mother in their family kitchen, using ingredients picked from their garden, to share out to his local community. The young boy then went from good to great, founding Heinz and becoming one of the great benefactors of his time, and was often quoted as saying “give all you can wisely”.
Jojo De Noronha, President Northern Europe at Heinz said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response to our ‘ask for Henry’ initiative with our partner Morrisons. That’s why we’re so pleased today to be announcing that it will be open for an extra three weeks.
"We believe everyone deserves the goodness, comfort and warmth a can of Heinz Beanz can bring, and we hope the extension of our ‘ask for Henry’ initiative can be of some help at this difficult time, and would encourage anyone who may feel they need or want it to come forward and claim it, no questions asked.”
Morrisons have just launched its Christmas menu at reasonable prices. Customers can tuck into a two-course meal for £9.99 or three courses for £11.99 from 11.30am to 3.30pm each day.
The Christmas menu includes traditional favourites such as prawn cocktail, brussels pâté and tomato and basil soup for starters. For the main, a Christmas turkey roast with all the trimmings- which is also available in vegetarian and vegan options.
To finish customers can tuck into a Christmas pudding, Bramley apple crumble or sticky toffee pudding for desserts. Sian Whittle, Category Director of Morrisons Cafés, said: “We know that when it comes to eating out, our customers are looking for great value more than ever so we’re pleased to announce that we’ve cut the price of over half the hot dishes on our menu.
"Our Christmas menu also offers traditional classics as well as some festive twists and we look forward to welcoming our customers to our cafés in the coming weeks.”
