A Morrisons manager acted quickly to "save the life" of a woman in distress in the Southport branch of the supermarket chain.
Nick Phillips, 39, was working the night shift on Tuesday, August 30, when he was alerted by a member of staff that something serious had happened. A woman had reportedly locked herself in the toilets in the Winter Gardens in an apparent attempt to take her own life and was unresponsive.
After knocking on the door, Mr Phillips broke down the door to get to the woman. He performed emergency CPR on the woman and she began breathing again.
