Moritz Jenz Celtic destiny fulfilled as new signing reveals pal Matt O'Riley's transfer plea

Moritz Jenz reckons it was his destiny to play for Celtic.

The 23-year-old has penned a season-long loan with the Premiership champions, with the deal includes an option to buy the defender outright from Ligue 1 outfit Lorient. That likely won’t be an issue should Celtic wish to take up the option after Jenz lost his place in the first team prior to the French club’s relegation last season.

The move could have happened last summer after Jenz was linked with a switch to Parkhead. But he’s had to bide his time in order to make the move to Glasgow. Close pal Matt O’Riley was straight on the phone after he signed for Ange Postecoglou in the January window, urging his former Fulham teammate to get his agent back on it.
