Morgan Wallen recently celebrated the first anniversary of his successful album, One Thing at a Time, by releasing the Abbey Road Sessions project. This project, which was released on YouTube, features two unreleased songs and five live performances of tracks from the album. Wallen expressed his excitement about the project, stating that recording at Abbey Road was a legendary experience for him and his band.
One Thing at a Time, the album that spent 18 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, has tied Garth Brooks' Ropin' the Wind for the most weeks at No. 1 for a country album. Wallen's album currently sits at No. 3 on the charts, behind Yeat's 2093 and Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's Vultures 1.
In response to an alleged leak of new music, Wallen clarified that he had made 13 songs without creative control in the past, with only five tracks making it to his debut EP, Stand Alone. He expressed his disappointment over plans to release an unauthorized '10th anniversary' edition of Stand Alone, including unreleased songs, against his wishes.
To counter this, Wallen released a new song titled 'Spin You Around (1/24)' and pledged to donate $100k to the Morgan Wallen Foundation to support the Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts (VLPA) program. This initiative aims to prevent new artists from facing similar challenges that he encountered early in his career.
