1. Morgan Lee Pressel was born in Tampa, Florida, on May 23, 1988.

2. She started playing golf at the age of eight, and on the LPGA website she credits her grandfather, Herb Krickstein, as the individual most influencing her career.

3. She had a successful amateur career compiling 11 wins on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) circuit.

4. Pressel won the 2005 US Women's Amateur Golf Championship thanks to a 9&8 drubbing of Maru Martinez in the final.

5. At one time, she was the youngest qualifier ever for a US Women's Open. Pressel managed it aged 12 ahead of the 2001 championship.

6. Pressel moved in with her maternal grandparents as a 15-year-old after her mother died due to breast cancer. Her two younger siblings stayed with their father.

7. She hosts the annual “Morgan & Friends Fight Cancer” charity golf tournament and has raised more than $8.5 million since 2008 to benefit the Morgan Pressel Foundation’s initiatives to support patient care and research in the fight against cancer.

8. Pressel turned professional as a 17-year-old in November 2005 after receiving permission from then-LPGA Commissioner Ty M. Votaw to receive an age exemption to apply for LPGA membership (players needed to be 18).

9. Pressel gave up a scholarship to study at Duke University to play golf professionally.

10. She made her first hole-in-one as a professional in July 2007, at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic.

11. Pressel won the 2007 Kraft Nabisco Championship (now ANA Inspiration) by one stroke. It was her first LPGA victory and it was a record at the time because she became the youngest player in LPGA Tour history to win a major championship (18 years, 10 months, 9 days). Unfortunately, on her flight back home to Florida, Pressel had her golf clubs stolen.

12. She has managed runner-up finishes at both the Women's PGA Championship and US Women's Open throughout her career. Pressel has twice secured a best result of T4th at the Women's Open and a best of T11th at the Evian Championship.

13. Her uncle is Aaron Krickstein, a former professional tennis player who had nine career ATP title wins, and got to the semi-final of the Australian Open and US Open during his career.

14. Pressel's younger sister Madison played collegiate golf for the University of Texas and won on the Symetra Tour in 2014.

15. Pressel has played in six Solheim Cups and has been on the winning team three times. Her overall record stands at 11 wins, eight losses and three halves. Her finest event came in 2011 as she proceeded to win all four of her matches for a perfect record.

16. Her career-best ranking is fourth in the world.

17. Aside from the Kraft Nabisco Championship, Pressel only won one other LPGA Tour title in her career - the 2008 Kapalua LPGA Classic.

18. In 2021, Pressel announced she joined the Golf Channel and NBC Sports as an analyst and on-course reporter alongside her competitive playing schedule on the LPGA Tour. Her first on-air appearance arrived at the LPGA Drive On Championship, and she has since worked at several Majors and the 2024 Olympics.

19. Pressel is married to Andrew Bush and the pair currently reside in Boca Raton, Florida. They married in 2013 after meeting at a pro-am event in Oklahoma in 2007.

20. The American has twice been Solheim Cup vice-captain under Stacy Lewis, first fulfilling the role at the 2023 event before repeating 12 months later.
