Morgan Gibbs-White aims cheeky dig at Nottingham Forest teammate

Morgan Gibbs-White has teased Nottingham Forest teammate Felipe following the defender's celebration after thinking he had scored against Southampton.

The Reds won 4-3 in a thrilling relegation six-pointer at the City Ground to move out of the bottom three. Steve Cooper's side now have three games left to secure their top-flight status.

A brace from Taiwo Awoniyi followed by goals from Morgan Gibbs-White and Danilo secured a huge three points for the Reds, leaving their opponents eight points from safety.

And the scoreline during the bank holiday clash appeared to get worse for the Saints after Brazilian centre-back Felipe thought he had scored to make it 5-2. But much to Southampton's relief, the goal was ruled out for offside although Forest went on to secure three points anyway.

Speaking after the match in an interview with Sky Sports, Gibbs-White could not help but poke fun at the defender following his celebration. Felipe performed a backflip when thinking he had scored his first goal for the Reds.

"I didn't think he had it in him," the 23-year said. "He's a big guy. I was shocked. I thought he was going to do his knee in."

Forest are next in action on Saturday against Chelsea before their final home game of the season when they welcome Arsenal. They end the campaign away at Crystal Palace.
