‘More to come’ from youthful Crystal Palace, says Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha has warned there is “more to come” from Crystal Palace after their superb first season under Patrick Vieira continued with an FA Cup quarter-final thumping of Everton.

The Eagles secured a trip to Wembley for the semi-finals by hammering Frank Lampard’s struggling side 4-0 at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Zaha was on the scoresheet with the third goal after first-half efforts from Marc Guehi and Jean-Philippe Mateta, before Will Hughes completed the rout.

Speaking afterwards, the Ivory Coast international hailed the transformation since Vieira replaced Roy Hodgson last summer that has seen the emergence of young talents such as Conor Gallagher, Michael Olise and Guehi, along with a far more adventurous brand of football.

“Amazing,” Zaha told ITV Sport. “It’s crazy that this is the first year we’ve played together you can see the progress already. There’s more to come from this side.

“It shows the direction the club is going - the club is heading in a good direction.

“[It’s a] fantastic feeling going to Wembley - we’ve achieved a lot this season and we can’t wait.”
