More than 400 homes are without power after an outage. A total of 410 properties in the Long Eaton area currently have no power supply after a high voltage incident which was reported at around 4pm on Thursday, May 18.
National Grid said it restored power supply to 2,221 properties since the power cut and was working to resolve the issue fully. It said it estimated all properties would have power back at 5.30pm on Thursday, May 18.
In a statement on its website, National Grid said: "We are aware of this power cut incident which was raised at 4.03pm this afternoon and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible. We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you."
It later added: "There is currently a fault on our underground network. We are working hard to resolve this."
