The Department for Work and Pensions has announced that more than 3 million Disability Cost of Living payments have been issued so far.
It comes after the nationwide support for disability benefit claimants enters its second day after launching on Tuesday, June 20. According to figures from the government department, 3.2 million payments have been processed by the DWP, bringing the total number spent to £500 million.
The DWP previously said that around 6.5 million claimants are expected to benefit from the scheme, meaning just under half of payments have already been processed. If you haven't yet received the £150 one-off payment, there's no need to contact the DWP as a two-week timeline has been provided, with the majority of payments being expected to be made by July 4.
