More than 250 neglected dogs found in dirty home now unrecognisable after rescue

Hundreds of filthy dogs that were rescued from a breeder’s home are now looking much cleaner after being rescued by the RSPCA.

Earlier this year, more than 250 poodle-cross dogs were found at the same property. Images of the dogs crammed into a dirty living room caused “so much disbelief” that the charity had to dispel speculation that the photographs were generated using AI.

“This is the staggering reality of what can happen when even well-meaning owners become overwhelmed,” it said.

Footage shared by the charity shows some of the dogs receiving baths following their rescue.

The RSPCA said it took in 87 of the dogs, whilst the others were taken in by Dogs Trust.
