The good news on the Joe Burrow front just keeps coming for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Over the weekend, a certain former NFL wideout text Burrow himself and got an answer on his status. And in the locker room to start this week, reporters saw Burrow wearing a sleeve on the injured calf and without a limp.
And now? Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters that Burrow continues to go through his usual day-to-day work away from the field, according to Charlie Clifford of NBC 5.
Taylor went as far as clarifying that Burrow spends some of the time he could be on the sidelines at practice doing things like rehab. That, and his absence out there isn’t a big deal, given he’ll get film of the sessions anyway.
As a whole, that initial “several weeks” that sounded scary continues to look far less important than the insider who suggested Burrow’s status for Week 1 isn’t a concern.
