More Glasgow school children to get free school meals under expansion plan

More P6 and P7 children are set to get free school meals in Glasgow as the scheme expands for certain families.

Parents whose kids receive the recently extended £25 Scottish Child Payment benefit will be entitled to free lunch time food.

The council is set to receive £2.2 million Scottish Government funding from April 1 for the year ahead to pay for the extra dinners for kids on the benefit.
