NEW DELHI: Levelling fresh allegations against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, double World Championships medallist, Vinesh Phogat, on Friday claimed that more female wrestlers from other parts of the country have come forward to report incidents of abuse by Singh and national coaches, with a 30-minute phone recording of one particular athlete detailing her ordeal.
Vinesh, who's spearheading the campaign for Singh's removal as the WFI chief over charges of sexual harrasment, also alleged that several complaints of sexual abuse and mistreatment of boys wrestlers were reported to the federation's higher-ups but no action was taken on them.
