More events on the cards in new plan for McDonald Jones Stadium

McDonald Jones Stadium could be in for markets, carols and more concerts after plans were lodged to triple the number of non-sporting events allowed in the venue.

Venues NSW, which owns the stadium, has submitted plans with City of Newcastle to raise the number of non-sporting events it can hold per year from five to 15.
