Paedophile priest Gerald Ridsdale has been charged with sexually abusing two children in the early 1980s.
The 87-year-old is facing 24 new charges over alleged incidents involving two boys in Mortlake, in western Victoria, in 1981 and 1982.
The charges include a number of sexual offences including sexual penetration of a person aged between 10 and 16, and indecent assault.
Ridsdale, who is currently behind bars, is due to face Warrnambool Magistrates Court later this month.
