Adults covered by Montana's Medicaid expansion who do not meet or report new work requirements can now be denied or removed from coverage after the state's three-month grace period ended Oct. 1. Nearly 71,000 people are subject to the rules, NPR reported.
The requirement took effect July 1, but no one was denied or disenrolled for noncompliance from July through September. Starting in October, enrollees who do not meet the requirement "may be denied coverage or disenrolled," according to the state's Medicaid changes FAQ.
