A thug from Cornwall who was jailed for life after he gouged his partner’s eyes out in a shocking case of domestic abuse in 2011, has been refused parole for the sixth time and will remain in prison.
Shane Jenkin, 42, blinded his partner, mother-of-two Tina Nash at her home in Hayle in a 12-hour ordeal in which she battled for her life. He was convicted after a trial in 2012 at Truro Crown Court.
Tina’s injuries were inflicted in what was described in court as a “premeditated, sustained and vicious attack”. Jenkin, who has had parole turned down five times in the past, has once again been unsuccessful in an application for release on licence, reports Cornwall Live.
