Christmas is a time for many things including love, forgiveness, and giving back to others - but the holiday season would simply not be complete without a heated game of Monopoly with the family. Typical groups of players are usually made up of someone who cheats, somebody who takes the game far too seriously and another who goes in a huff after losing, the Mirror reports.
However, a Twitter user has now revealed there may be a chance you have actually been playing the festive family favourite board game wrong the entire time. An often forgotten about Monopoly rule, which changes the whole game, has recently gone viral as fans admitted they'd been playing incorrectly.
A Monopoly player, who goes by the username Dtrain22 on Twitter, shared the revelation with a backed up picture of the rules to prove the discovery. Social media users were left gobsmacked as they realised that neglecting this one rule may be the reason why most Monopoly games are notoriously long.
