A monkeypox vaccine is "in short supply globally" as cases in Scotland have risen by two since last week. Dr Nick Phin, of Public Health Scotland, explained that the supply issues of the jab are due to it being manufactured by a single company for the whole world.
100,000 doses ordered by the UK government are scheduled to be delivered next month, while some 3,000 doses have been distributed to health boards in Scotland.
The news comes as Scottish case numbers have risen by two since Public Health Scotland's (PHS) last update on Friday, bringing the total figure to 69. According to PHS, only one was a woman, while most cases have been concentrated in urban settings.
