Monkey fever, scientifically known as Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD), is a viral illness transmitted to humans through tick bites, primarily in forested regions. Endemic to parts of India, particularly Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa, the virus primarily affects monkeys, particularly langurs, amplifying its presence in the ecosystem.
