Dog owners love to spoil their pets - but some take it to more extremes than others. While most owners treat their dogs to extra toys or snacks from time to time, others go all out and buy them luxury clothes and make them gourmet meals.
Moncler, a French-founded Italian fashion label, has been mocked online after releasing a luxury line of dogs clothing including a £380 puffer jacket, a £420 harness, hooded jackets for £455 and a £655 dog carrier. Their pricey dog gilets come in black and pink - and even go down to a size double zero for super tiny pooches.
But social media users said the price for the canine wear was ridiculous.
Louis said: "Imagine spending £400 on a Moncler jacket for your dog."
Jon joked: "I mean am I about to buy a Moncler jacket for my dog before I buy one for myself?"
One person compared the costly coat to tyre offcuts.
They said: "Three-hundred-and-eighty whole pounds for your dog to look like it’s been wrapped in offcuts of very old tyres."
Another person pointed out: "Yeah, but it’s couture."
The Moncler Poldo Dog Couture collection also features a £265 lead and a £195 collar.
The website boasts the gilet is crafted from nylon laqué with nylon laqué lining with padding, a snap button closure and logo embellishment
The description says: "Its distinctive boudin quilting and down-filled padding ensure your precious pooch keeps warm, while the high neck and snap fasteners not only ensure a snug fit, but make it easy to put on and take off."
