There’s rarely much to separate Monaghan and Tyrone at any time of the year and this weekend’s vital League game could go right to the wire.
This is a relegation play-off in all but name with the losers seemingly destined to make the drop to Division Two next season.
The various permutations could see a draw being enough for either side if they gain a point or more from their final games.
However, considering Tyrone and Monaghan’s current scoring differences, they will want to keep their fate in their own hands heading into next weekend’s final round of fixtures.
These sides played out a low-scoring draw in Healy Park last season and will clash in Omagh in the quarter-final of the Ulster SFC next month.
