Moment terrified bystanders flee as man, 20, stabbed to death in Kilburn

CCTV footage has captured the moment terrified bystanders fled the scene of a fatal stabbing in Kilburn.

Malakai Ferguson-Ramson, 20, was stabbed to death in Ashmore Road shortly before 9pm last Tuesday.

Video footage shows dozens of young people fleeing the area around Ashmore Road and Drayford Close, either on bicycles or on foot, with some appearing to trip and fall as they ran from the scene.

Detectives investigating the young man's murder have released the footage as they seek to identify and speak to around 20 potential witnesses.

Officers believe some of those captured in the footage could hold vital information about the incident and are urging them to come forward.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller said: “I would like to reiterate that those pictured are believed to be witnesses.

“While I understand the challenges that come with talking to police, there are a range of ways to contact us - including completely anonymously.

“I urge people to put these complexities to one side and instead empathise with the grief Malakai’s loved ones are navigating at this moment in time.

“The information held by eyewitnesses is vital and could ultimately take us a step closer to securing justice.”

Two arrests have been made as part of the police investigation.
