Perpignan wing George Tilsley provoked outrage in a Top 14 match when he stamped on the arm of France legend Morgan Parra.
With referees cracking down on more incidents during each match, there are seemingly more cards handed out than ever before. There are some decisions which are certainly controversial, but this incident was one of the more non-negotiable ones.
Stade Francais were playing away to Perpignan last weekend when the incident occurred. Parra, capped 71 times, was competing for the ball at the ruck for Stade when Tilsley indulged in a moment of madness.
Parra's reaction was quite understandably explosive, grabbing the trouble-maker and dragging his big frame to the ground. Team-mates from either side rushed to the scene in an effort to break up the pair, and once the TMO had a chance to look at the stamp, referee Pierre Brousset brandished the red card.
You can watch the incident below:
Parra was known to be a fiery individual on the rugby field in his heyday, so he's one of the last players on the field you'd want to pick a fight with. He was once handed a four-match ban for throwing a few punches at Bordeuax-Begles' Gautier Gibouin back in 2013.
Despite the sending off, Perpignan would go on to win the match 31-24, playing 13 minutes with 14 men.
