Molly McCann has announced she has signed a mega eight-fight contract after her next outing against Erin Blanchfield was booked.
The Merseyside star's profile has continued to rise in recent weeks after recording another sensational opening round stoppage of Hannah Goldy at her latest UFC London appearance last month. She has continued to draw huge interest to her fights alongside teammate Paddy Pimblett who also picked up victory on the card.
McCann has now announced that her next fight against Blanchfield is set for UFC 281 on November 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Alongside news of her next octagon bow McCann revealed exciting news about her contract on Instagram, with the caption: "From Norris Green to Madison Square Garden. I think you all know the importance of this fight and how much it means I get to fight in such a prestigious venue, the Mecca of boxing and stateside!
"Can’t wait to bring the army from back home and all the Irish out there too! This means the world to me and my team, I promise I’ll give everything I have and more to bring home the win. Cannot wait for that walk out.
"And also thank you to the UFC for my new contract, little meatball has only gone and got a new eight fight deal! CANNOT WAIT TO DANCE UNDER MSG’s LIGHTS - RUMBLE LIL’ MEATBALL RUMBLE!" McCann previously signed a four-fight deal with the UFC which saw her guaranteed a $50,000 purse for all of her UFC outings, including her two wins this year.
However she has now upped her guaranteed purse further, which will likely see her once again pull clear of teammate Pimblett in financial earnings from the promotion. McCann has entertained fans on multiple occasions with her power-punching displays and picked up two victories this year on domestic shores.

She will now return stateside for her fifth appearance in the US where she currently holds a record of 4-1. Her only defeat in America has come by unanimous decision to Lara Procópio at UFC Fight Night 184 in Las Vegas. Her next rival is currently undefeated in the UFC and has won six fights in a row, including her maiden outings with the promotion.
McCann initially planned to face Antonina Shevchenko as a stepping stone to her ultimate goal of facing her sister Valentina, but she will have self-belief whoever she takes on. “I’m going to be deadly honest with you, sometimes I go back and forth in my mind, ‘Am I who I think I am? Am I going to leave the legacy I think I am?'," she said in a press conference after her last victory.
“What I can tell you is I had a lot more faith in myself. I believed in myself more. I believe it’s my time to be where I’m supposed to be. I believe I’ve learned all the lessons that I’m supposed to have learned.”
