Molly-Mae Hague shares candid reality of birth and says Tommy Fury 'saw everything' and 'sobbed'

Molly-Mae Hague didn't hold back as she candidly shared her birth story for the first time. The influencer decided to get back in front of the camera and tell her loyal followers about her daughter's arrival into the world after they followed her pregnancy journey following her announcement in September.

Prior to filming her latest YouTube vlog, Molly-Mae, who gave birth to her first child with her boyfriend Tommy Fury at a hospital in London on January 23, opened up to her fans about being 'nervous' about getting being front of the camera for the first time since becoming a mum.

Posting a picture of her bedroom, she wrote: "I really want to film my birth story today but I'm so nervous to get back infront of the camera... I'm not sure if my brain is working yet and if I try to do it and fail then I know that'll really upset/frustrate me." She then added: "I really want to catch you all up! Dilemmas," alongside a face holding back tears.

However, she later returned to tell her fans she 'did it' and released what she had filmed on Thursday evening (February 8). The video kicked off with Molly-Mae holding onto her baby girl, who she and Tommy have named Bambi, and she quickly became emotional.

The 23-year-old burst into tears as she tried to introduce her daughter to the camera. "I literally just said 'welcome back to my channel,'" she said trying to compose herself. And she asked her daughter jokingly: "What have you done to me? This is me crying all time, so emotional."

But as she got into telling her fans about Bambi's birth, she didn't hold back. During the video, the former Love Island star explained that she "wasn’t in pain" during the labour "because of the epidural" and compared the sensation of "Bambi coming out of her" to "feeling like I was doing a poo."

The doting new mum, who met and fell and love with Tommy on the ITV2 dating show in 2019, went on to say: "I was pushing. She was coming out of me, I could feel it, it was incredible. It did actually feel like I was doing a poo. And by the way, did I poo in birth? Yes, I did, I think."

Molly-Mae went on: "The doctors were like, “oh no you haven’t, don’t worry about it” but I’m 99.9% sure I could smell it. That’s one thing as well I was quite nervous about when I was pushing because I know if I push the way I’m gonna push this baby out, I’m gonna poo."

But she added: "And they were like, 'don’t worry about it, 90% of women poo when they give birth'. I was like, 'I know, but this is a very vulnerable position for me. My legs are in stirrups, there’s medical professionals all around me, my boyfriend is stood here. Like, I don’t wanna poo myself'. I have zero dignity, but even in that moment I still cared, I don’t know why."

There were concerns that Bambi would have to be taken away from her mum straight away in orfer to have some support following the birth, however, she arrived 'crying and creaming' and was placed straight on to Molly-Mae's chest. "I was looking at her and in complete and utter shock, that’s the only way I can describe it," she said.

She went on to tell the viewers: "Tommy was sobbing his heart out. I’ve never seen anything like it. There was snot streaming from his nose, we were hugging and she was there… honestly it was like the most magical experience of my entire life and I will never ever get over it."

The Pretty Little Thing creative director, who said she filmed her entire birth, was also briefly joined by Tommy, also 23, who gushed over his admiration for his girlfriend and joked that watching her give birth was like a 'science class'.

"Tommy watched the whole process. He literally watched everything. He also watched me giving full birth to Bambi. He saw everything, he absolutely loved it," Molly-Mae said to the camera. "I didn't know if he would want to look at things like that, but he saw my waters get broken, he saw my mucus plug fly out when the waters broke."

Having his say, Manchester boxer Tommy said: "It was like a science lesson class but in real life. It was the best things I have seen in my life. It’s weird because before you have a child and everyone tells you you’re going to see this, you’re going to see that, you feel like spewing your guts up.

"When you see it, it’s the most beautiful thing, it’s pure. You can’t describe it, you literally have to go through it." Lavishing praise on his girlfriend for giving birth to Bambi, Tommy said she "went up a hundred gazillion percent in my book".

He said: "I had a lot of respect for women anyway because of what they go through with periods and stuff like that – but birth is a completely different level. So, after seeing that and the experience of what she went through… Men are pretty much useless, to be honest. Women honestly deserve a lot of credit for the stuff they have to go through."
