Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague 's cancer scare saved one young mother's life after it prompted her to check her own breasts.
Hannah Bolton, 31, saw Molly-Mae's social media posts about having suspicious lumps removed as she urged her 6.2 million followers to get themselves checked - whether they feel embarrassed or not.
Molly-Mae decided to openly share her cancer scare story in a bid to help others who may have overlooked certain lumps and bumps on their bodies before it's too late.
After taking in the Love Island star's wise words of advice, district nurse Hannah booked an appointment to see her GP and now feels as though 22-year-old Molly-Mae saved her life.
Hannah's doctor found a small lump in her left breast and she was immediately diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.
The young mum-of-one, who is now undergoing chemotherapy, insisted that Molly's decision to share her own story saved her life.
"Molly-Mae's decision to share that post saved my life," the Bristol native told The Sun.
"If she hadn't, I would never have checked my breasts to this very day.
"That lump would still be growing now. It could be really bad by this point if I hadn't found it."
Last year, Molly-Mae shared a poignant photo of herself in a hospital bed after she underwent surgery to have non-cancerous lumps removed from her breast and her finger.
Over the picture Molly-Mae encouraged her millions of fans to check their bodies.
“I spoke about a lump I found in my boob on a recent vlog of mine, well I had it removed today. Check your bodies people," she insisted.
Last August, Molly-Mae revealed the lump in her breast had grown, so she underwent a biopsy before the decision was made to remove it completely.
It came just months after the TV star was told a mole she'd had removed from her leg was malignant melanoma - which is a type of skin cancer.
The influencer received the news during a work trip to Italy following a biopsy, having previously been told by two dermatologists that the mole was nothing to worry about.
Speaking at the time, a shocked Molly said: "It's obviously petrifying, shocking and scary. I don't even know what to think or say. I cannot believe I was told by others doctors it was OK. I am so upset and angry.
"I just briefly asked this doctor when I was walking out. I was walking around with skin cancer on my leg. If I hadn't have asked, I'd still have that mole on my leg now and I'd be none the wiser.
"It could be spreading through my body, you just never know."
