Molly-Mae Hague has weighed in on Gemma Owen and Luca Bish's relationship after their final Love Island date on Friday evening’s instalment of the ITV2 dating show.
The pair were invited to enjoy their final date not long before the islanders learned they would be voting for the next couple to be dumped from the villa.
Arriving in a private courtyard, 23-year-old Luca and Gemma, 19, were serenaded by a six-piece ensemble and sat down to reflect on their time in the villa.
Watching from home, 2019 contestant Molly-Mae was left wondering if the pair even liked each other after their spat in recent days.
Posting a photo of Gemma during the date, Molly gushed over how pretty the international dressage rider is, writing “what a girl.”
She then added: “But is hers and Luca's love language acting like they hate each other? Because that date was different.”
Viewers were similarly left cringing after the date, labelling it “dry” and “awkward”, particularly as Gemma seemed to “friendzone” Luca when she called him her “best mate”.
Talking about life after exiting the villa, Luca said: “Even on the outside world, at this time in my life I didn’t think someone would come around and make me feel how you have.”
Gemma replied: “Since I’ve met you, I’m like, you’re more than just a partner, I do genuinely think I’ve found a best mate in here.”
“Me too,” he replied, adding: “Obviously being here with you, I don’t think I would have had a better date, and I am lucky to have you.”
This comes after Luca Bish told Gemma Owen to 'f***k off' and took his mic off as he stormed out of the villa after a blazing argument.
The pair clashed after the Islanders took part in a Mile High-themed challenge, which saw Gemma lick Adam Collard's chest, prompting Luca to push her at one point afterwards.
Back in the villa, Michael Owen's daughter told the Brighton fishmonger that he was "in a mood".
Luca later referenced Gemma licking Adam, and confessed: "Obviously it wasn't nice to see..."
He added: "Licking other boys, putting your head down there, but it's a challenge. I can't exactly stay annoyed at you for it."
Prior to this, Luca caused waves in the villa and among Love Island viewers when he insisted Gemma was “punching” in their relationship.
