Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo has already admitted that it is his "dream" to play for Manchester United amid fresh links connecting him with a move to Old Trafford.
According to a report by Sky Sports, United, who have seen their attempts to bring Adrien Rabiot to M16 collapse, have rekindled their interest in the Brighton midfielder, as manager Erik ten Hag aims to beef up his midfield options ahead of the transfer window closing.
Caicedo, who scored for Brighton in their 4-0 win over United back in May, was of interest to the Reds back in January 2021, ahead of him joining the Seagulls from Independiente del Valle. A deal to bring him to Old Trafford was understood to have become 'too messy' for the Reds to continue with their pursuit.

Since joining Brighton, the 20-year-old has gone from strength to strength, bossing games in midfield, including the Seagulls' recent 2-1 win at Old Trafford. Packed with strength, aggression and desire, Caicedo has all of the necessary qualities a modern-day midfielder needs.
It is reported that Brighton have 'no intention' of selling the midfielder, but United are 'expected' to make an offer. Should that happen, Caicedo may attempt to push for a move to Old Trafford, admitting in the past that it is a "dream" of his to don the famous red shirt.
"My dream is to play for Manchester United," Caicedo said last year, speaking to The Athletic. "Antonio Valencia is an example to follow.
"With his strength and dedication, he was able to get to that level. That motivates me to keep working hard and do the right things."
United, who face Liverpool at Old Trafford on Monday evening, are desperate for reinforcements in midfield, highlighted by Saturday's humiliating 4-0 defeat to Brentford. The Reds have been chasing Frenkie de Jong's signature all summer and thought they were going to strengthen their midfield options with Rabiot.
But now that deal is dead in the water, they are facing a race against time to strengthen the squad before the 11pm deadline on September 1. As well as wanting to bring in a new midfielder, Ten Hag wants to strengthen his attacking options, with a wide player and striker still on his wish list.
