Mohun Bagan refuse to play CFL derby against East Bengal on Thursday

KOLKATA: Mohun Bagan SG management has raised an objection to playing this Thursday's CFL Super Six derby against East Bengal in Naihati, citing congestion of fixtures and highlighting "ineffective scheduling by IFA".

Mohammedan Sporting clinched the title beating Mohun Bagan 2-0 on September 21. That match happened to be the champions' last match and Mohun Bagan's first game in the Super Six phase. While no Bagan matches have since been scheduled, East Bengal too have four matches pending.
