NEW DELHI: Former all-rounder Irfan Pathan feels that Mohammed Shami's absence might have increased workload on Jasprit Bumrah but the pace spearhead is currently in much better physical condition to handle the demands of Test cricket.

Bumrah, who experienced a lower back stress fracture in 2022, underwent surgery in New Zealand and was sidelined from competitive cricket for 11 months.
