While the questions swirl around some elements of the new Premier League season, Mohamed Salah will find comfort in his continuity at Liverpool.

The Egyptian has been all smiles across the Reds' summer schedule, perhaps safe in the knowledge of having resolved his future before a pre-season jog had even taken place at the start of the month.

A three-year extension has made Salah the highest-paid player of all time at Anfield as Liverpool reconfigured their much discussed wage structure to ensure they retained one of world football's very best goalscorers.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly 'waiting to bring' midfielder Federico Valverde to Liverpool with the Reds boss said to be 'obsessed' with the Real Madrid star. The Uruguayan will face competitions for minutes from new signing Aurelien Tchouameni next season.

Liverpool held an interest in Frenchman Tchouameni, but the former Monaco youngster opted to move to the Champions League winners this summer. Now the Reds could look to capitalise on Valverde potentially facing less playing time, according to Spanish outlet Nacional.

Klopp and his side have seen first hand how good Valverde can play after he assisted the winning goal in the Champions League final in May when Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0. Valverde's versatility is something that may appeal to the Liverpool boss with the 24-year-old able to play in a number of positions.
