Mohamed Salah decision explained as Jurgen Klopp makes five Liverpool changes at Aston Villa

Jurgen Klopp makes five changes to his Liverpool team as Mohamed Salah drops to the bench at Aston Villa.

Salah is rested for the game at Villa Park as Luis Diaz is named up top alongside Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota, who is expected to line up down the centre against Steven Gerrard's Villains.

Kostas Tsimikas comes into the side at left-back for his first start since February 19 and Andy Robertson misses out completely for what is the Reds' 59th game of the season.

Joel Matip also steps back into the team in defence in place of Ibrahima Konate as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk keep their places from the 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday evening.
