Modigliani painting leads collection worth more than £200m being auctioned

An Amedeo Modigliani painting estimated to sell for around £45 million is one of the works being offered in an upcoming Sotheby’s auction.

The auction house has unveiled the Lewis Collection, which consists of 48 works which are expected to sell for more than £200 million – the highest estimate for any single-owner collection ever offered at auction in Europe.
