Moderna shares more than doubled on Wednesday after the company and Merck said their personalised mRNA cancer treatment met its primary and key secondary goals in a late-stage melanoma trial.
The Phase 3 INTerpath-001 trial evaluated intismeran autogene in combination with Merck's Keytruda in patients with completely resected stage IIB to IV melanoma, compared with Keytruda alone. The study met its primary endpoint of recurrence-free survival and a key secondary endpoint of distant metastasis-free survival, according to the companies.
