Brito on the fight's key moment
“I will say this was the hardest fight I’ve had in the organization, not because of the fight itself, because I was pretty sure what he was going to do, and I knew things that were going to happen, but I would definitely say that this was the hardest one in this organization because of the fact that it went to the second round.”
Brito on the call home after his win
“First thing I do is call my family. I try to be as connected as possible to them, especially because during fight week, I feel I’m lacking a little bit because sometimes it gets late and I’m not able to call. So the first thing I do is call my family after the fights.”
Brito on what he wants next
“It’s kind of a joke now to call out Dan Ige because I keep calling him out, but especially because I I do feel like he does not want to fight me. But I would like the UFC to actually give me more frequent fights. I would like to be more active and I would like to have three fights a year. If they gave me a fight in February or perhaps the start of March, for me that would be perfect – absolutely perfect.”
