Modern Family star Sarah Hyland gets married at star-studded ceremony in California

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland got married yesterday at a star-studded ceremony in California.

The actress, 31, said 'I do' with The Bachelorette star Wells Adams on Saturday after Covid prevented the couple's previous plans.

Sarah's former co-stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson, 46 and Sofia Vergara, 50, were at the bash held, in a vineyard, and shared snaps of the happy day on Instagram.

Sofia brought her 30-year-old son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara as her plus one and looked stunning sporting a long black and white floral frock teamed with a slick of crimson lipstick.

She also posed for a pic with Nolan Gould, 23, who played her step-grandson Luke Dunphy on Modern Family.

In a caption, Sophia wrote to her 26.5 million followers: "Summer wedding!!", later adding: "#sarahandwells wedding".

Sarah met her husband on Twitter during the summer of 2017 while Wells was the bartender on Bachelor in Paradise.

The couple got engaged two years later and set multiple dates for their wedding - but these had to be pushed back because of Covid-19.

Sarah and her showbiz pals, including bridesmaid Vanessa Hugens, enjoyed a low-key hen do in Mexico.

The actress told the publication that: "the wildest thing that happened was that we were dancing on tables singing musical theatre.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played Micheal Pritchett in Modern Family, also rocked up (@sofiavergara/Instagram)

She then explained: "I did the entire Chicago soundtrack by myself. Is that sad or is that everything? I think it's everything."

Details about her wedding are largely under wraps, however while chatting with Us Weekly back in May 2020, Wells said: "I want a taco truck there for late night when everyone’s just trashed. Who doesn’t want a taco?"

The reality star's surname is something Sarah said she's toyed with the idea of adopting.

Commenting on whether she'd change her name after she wed, she told E! News : "My mom didn’t take my father’s last name, so that’s never been a thing for me.

"I do like being called 'Mrs. Adams' when we’re on vacation and stuff, and if the reservation's under his name, I'm like, 'Oh my god, I'm so cute.' But I don’t know. Haven’t decided on it."
