MoD set to spend £1 billion boosting UK’s hypersonic missile ability

The Ministry of Defence is set to spend up to £1 billion on accelerating its acquisition of hypersonic weapons.

The weapons - which fly five times faster than the speed of sound - have been the subject of increasing interest among western nations due to their use in the war in Ukraine.
