The BBC has aired the final episode of Mock the Week, prompting disappointment from viewers.
The comedy panel show came to an end on Friday night after running for more than 200 episodes.
Fans were left shocked when long-time host Dara O'Briain reminded the audience that the show was coming to an end.
The episode was jam-packed with mockery of the current political situation.
Despite it being recorded ahead of Liz Truss's departure from No10, Dara still managed to poke some fun at the former Prime Minister.
"At the time of recording Hunt is still the Chancellor and Truss is still the Prime Minister," O'Briain said in the opening monologue.
"Of course, just after we recorded this Liz Truss was mounted into a catapult and fired at the sun."
The show featured regular panelist Hugh Dennis, along with Ahir Sha, Zoe Lyons and Rhys James.
Appearing weary of the current news cycle, James suggested that the panelists play cards instead.
"Sorry, are we seriously going to sit around this whole show talking about the news?
"I just thought as it was the last day we could play board games and stuff - I bought Uno."
Fans took to Twitter to express their dismay at the BBC axing the popular comedy show.
"Someone needs to pick up the show, it's too good to let it die," one said.
"This show will be missed by many," another added. "Won’t Dave take this show on?"
Others showed pure appreciation for the show.
"Sad that Mock The Week has officially ended," one person wrote. "First discovered the show through a YouTube search and have been a fan since. Was introduced to a lot of comedians that I now love and was also my only source for news on UK politics. At least we’ll have those YouTube compilations."
O'Briain took to Twitter following the final episode, writing:
"That’s all folks! “History of Mock The Week” parts 1 and 2 will be on over the next two weeks, but there ends the most funny, energetic, sharp and silly of all the panel shows, I think. Huge thanks to all the comics, and production staff, who joined us and made it great. X"
