Awards season is still a couple of months away but the nominations have begun rolling in ahead of the glamorous ceremonies.
The Mobo Awards, first held in 1996, are one of the star-studded dates on the calendar and next year’s ceremony will be held in a new location.
Many big names, including the west London rapper Central Cee and the West Midlands-born singer-songwriter Jorja Smith, have been nominated in the 20 categories. Along with R&B singer Cleo Sol, they have three nominations each.
Established artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé, and Nicki Minaj are on the shortlist in the International Music category, while the Media Personality of the Year prize celebrates stars outside the music industry.
