Top striker Mohamed Salah has delivered a bombshell update on his contract situation at Liverpool after he admitted that he’s ‘more out than in’ after not receiving any offers to stay put at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool Contract To Expire Next Summer
The Egyptian star will be able to leave Liverpool for nothing next summer with his current deal set to expire at the end of this season.
The 32-year-old scored a brilliant brace in Liverpool’s 3-2 comeback victory over Southampton on Sunday and asked to speak to a small selection of reporters after the Premier League game about the lack of negotiations over a new deal.
Salah said: “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I’m probably more out than in.
“You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.
Spoke to Mohamed Salah after Liverpool's win at Southampton yesterday.
He revealed he is "disappointed" that #LFC have yet to offer him a new contract and said he's "probably more out than in" as it stands.

“I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands.”
Salah also revealed he was disappointed about the lack of progress over a new deal. He added: “Of course, yeah. I’m not going to retire soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.
“I am very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible.”
Mohamed Salah’s Contract Situation Piles The Pressure On Liverpool’s Owners
Mohamed Salah is one of three key Liverpool players to be out of contract next summer.
Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s futures are also up in the air. Van Dijk has revealed that talks over a new deal are underway while Alexander-Arnold has remained tight-lipped about a new contract.
And Salah has now piled the pressure on the owners to sort a solution over his future.
