At the NTAs on Tuesday night (8 September), comedian Mo Gilligan threw in a joke about the row surrounding a controversial Miriam Margolyes interview in which she made a number of remarks about the skin colour of ITV presenter Andi Peters.

Margolyes, 85, received criticism for questioning Peters about his parentage and also using an outdated and offensive term for a Black person with lighter skin.
