Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has yet to issue a statement following the guilty verdict of former President Donald Trump in the hush money trial. The trial resulted in Trump being found guilty on all charges, but McConnell has remained silent on the matter.

Three senators who have announced their candidacy for McConnell's leadership position in the upcoming Congress, namely Sens. John Thune, John Cornyn, and Rick Scott, have all publicly condemned the verdict. This public denouncement highlights the differing opinions within the Republican Party regarding Trump's legal troubles.
