Sir Cliff Richard is planning to put out his first Christmas album in almost two decades.
The ageless singer’s release will be viewed as the perfect festive present for his loyal fans – with one source claiming: “It is sure to be a hit.”
Sir Cliff, who made his pop debut in 1958, has been working on his 46th studio album in Miami, Florida.
The record will be sold via CD, digital download and will also be streamed on sites like Spotify.
The 81-year-old, who had a smash hit with the Christmas classic Mistletoe And Wine in 1988, posted he had enjoyed a “fantastic day” with the recording.
Pal Gloria Hunniford, 82, put up: “Great to see Cliff back in the UK ahead of his new Christmas album.” The last time he released a Yuletide offering was in 2003.
His last album Music...The Air That I Breathe reached No3 in the charts in 2020.
It meant Sir Cliff became the first artist to make the top five of the UK album
ratings across eight consecutive decades.
He has had 14 No1 singles and seven No1 albums, selling more than 250 million records worldwide.
