Another cornerback prospect is visiting Washington on a top 30 visit ahead of the 2023 NFL draft.
Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston reports that Mississippi State cornerback Emmanuel Forbes will visit the Commanders.
Mississippi State @HailStateFB cornerback Emmanuel Forbes Jr., (4.35 speed) one of the top defensive back prospects, visited #Cowboys on Tuesday and visits #Eagles on Wednesday followed by visits with #Ravens, #Commanders, #Patriots and #Bengals @KPRC2 https://t.co/tb8CUkxFTo

Forbes is the latest defensive back to visit Ashburn, joining DJ Turner [Michigan] and Joey Porter Jr. [Penn State]. Forbes is considered a likely second-round pick; however, there is some buzz he could land in the first round.
Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 166 pounds, there are obvious concerns about Forbes’ frame. His length and athleticism are not in doubt, though, as Forbes ran the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds at the NFL combine.
Forbes is an aggressive player who has a nose for the football. In three seasons at Mississippi State, Forbes had 14 interceptions, six of which he returned for touchdowns.
While it’s unsure if he’s under consideration at No. 16, he could be a prime candidate for the Commanders if they move back a few spots. With the amount of interest he’s receiving in pre-draft visits, it wouldn’t shock anyone if he’s picked somewhere among the top 20 picks.
