Missionary Claims Burning Man Is Wrong for Kicking Us Out Because Eight Hundred People Found Jesus

Missionary John Calvin Hinerman says Burning Man wrongly evicted his Christian camp after he claimed 800 people accepted Jesus, while organisers cite repeated privacy-rule violations (Credit: Via John Hinerman/Instagram)

John Calvin Hinerman, a Navy veteran and Christian missionary, said on Wednesday, 2 September, that Burning Man organisers in Nevada were wrong to evict his camp after he claimed that about 800 people had accepted Jesus during the event.

Burning Man said the group had received repeated warnings for violating participant privacy rules, while Hinerman argued that the camp was being treated unfairly for sharing its Christian faith.
