Tom Cruise has left his fans on the edge of their seats after promoting the all-new trailer for the upcoming Mission: Impossible film.
The seventh installment in the billion-dollar action-spy movie series, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, looks to be a white knuckle viewing session for fans.
Hollywood hunk Tom, 60, teased the new movie when he took to Twitter on Wednesday (May 17), with him saying: "It's time to pick a side. Here is the new trailer for #MissionImpossible - Dead Reckoning Part One."
In the video trailer, Tom could be seen reprising the role of the IFM agent he first played back in 1996.
The new preview shows the action star speeding off the edge of a cliff while riding a motorbike, before the agent heads into the middle of a knife fight on the top of a train.
Another snippet then shows the train that he was stood atop nosediving into the water below as it falls from a bridge.
Fans went totally wild, with many flocking to the replies section of the tweet to gush over Tom's ageless looks and how action-packed the new movie looks to be.
"I am holding my breath until July comes Tom," wrote one, while a second added: "I’m beyond ready for this."
A third person then penned: "The Biggest Action Hero in the world is Back."
"Definitely no Human being can do this at 60," added a fourth who was clearly in disbelief of Tom's age.
"What can I say....gonna be the greatest movie of the year," added a fifth.
In the synopsis of the upcoming film, it states that Ethan Hunt and his IMF team will embark on their "most dangerous mission to track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands".
It continues: "With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan's past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins."
"Confronted by a mysterious and a powerful nemesis, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission – not even the lives of those he cares about most," the synopsis concludes.
The action-packed movie from Paramount Pictures will be available to see in cinemas from July 12.
