Missing UIC student found dead, boyfriend still missing

A body recovered from Lake Michigan has been identified as a missing University of Illinois at Chicago student who went missing a day after her boyfriend disappeared.

Natally Brookson’s body was discovered May 2 near the 5500 block of North Sheridan Road, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and Chicago police. The cause and manner of her death was still pending, the medical examiner’s office said.
