A teenage boy has been traced safe and well after going missing from the Scottish Borders, sparking a frantic police search.
Finn Thomson was last seen in Selkirk around 4pm today, but has not been seen or heard from since.
Officers believe the 15-year-old may have travelled to the Edinburgh area.
The youngster is described as 5ft 8 in height, of slim build with short dark brown hair and a fringe.
He is believed to have been wearing blue jeans, a black hooded puffer jacket and a white and blue striped T-shirt when he vanished.
Police Scotland confirmed the teenager has now been found.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We can confirm Finn has been found safe and well. We would like to thank the public for your assistance."
